Auria Celebrates One-Year Anniversary
As we celebrate Auria’s one-year anniversary, we look back on some of the highlights from Auria’s action-packed and promising first year of business.
September 15, 2017– Shanghai Shenda Co., Ltd. and International Automotive Components Group officially closed a joint venture transaction, forming Auria Solutions, Ltd. (Image 1)
November 2017– Executives from Shangtex, Shenda, Auria and IAC inaugurated the new Auria regional headquarters in Southfield, Michigan. The day’s events included remarks from executives representing all the partners, ceremonies reflecting both eastern and western cultures and a ribbon cutting ceremony at the company’s headquarters. January 2018– The Auria team in Celle, Germany exemplified Auria’s commitment to community outreach with a donation of 4.000 € to the efforts of the “Löwenherz” child hospice. The money, generated by Auria employees during a holiday fundraiser, supported the work of child hospice and the care that is provided to terminally ill children and their families. (Image 3)
January 2018– Auria was awarded new business from Acura. Auria products will appear on the 2021 Acura MDX model. (Image 4)
February 2018– Auria’s Sarah Janowicz was recognized as a “Notable Woman in Manufacturing” by Crain’s Detroit Business. Janowicz, who manages all Auria accounting departments in Europe, Asia and North America, was recognized for her outstanding work during the creation of Auria and her success in obtaining the required Chinese regulatory approvals and accounting data. February 2018– In celebration of the Chinese New Year, Auria employees in Southfield, Michigan took the opportunity to learn more about Chinese culture in an ongoing effort to connect eastern and western cultures through knowledge and understanding. (Image 6)
March 2018– Auria received the Chery Jaguar Land Rover ‘Supplier of the Year’ award at a ceremony in Shanghai, China. The award was a tremendous customer validation of Auria as a world-class supplier. President and CEO, Brian Pour, Executive Vice President, Yang QiuMing and members of Auria’s Chinese leadership team were in attendance to accept the award. (Image 7)
April 2018– Auria was awarded new business from Daimler, extending Auria content on major global platforms, including vehicles in the China market. (Image 8)
May 2018– Auria was recognized for its outstanding support of FCA’s Technical Cost Reduction (TCR) program, which was cited as a standard to achieve for all FCA suppliers. (Image 9)
June 2018– Fujian Benz, the Daimler Benz producer of light commercial trucks and vans for the Chinese market, presented Auria with the “Excellent Supplier” and “Excellent Quality” awards for the company’s work in 2017. (Image 10)
August 2018– Auria employees participated in the Habitat for Humanity “Rock the Block” event, which aims to revitalize community housing and specially selected urban areas. Auria provided volunteers for day one of the project and helped to rebuild and give back to the neighborhood in which the Southfield, MI office calls home. (Image 11)
August 2018– Auria President and CEO, Brian Pour was named as one of the ‘Detroit Top 500’ executives. The list was created to recognize the Top 500 most influential executives in Detroit, Michigan across several industries including automotive, sports and entertainment and various professional services.
